A memorial service will be held Sunday, Oct. 23, at Asbury United Methodist Church in Eugene for V. Deloris Madsen of Eugene, who died Oct. 14 of heart failure. She was 91. She was born Feb. 14, 1920, in Battle Creek, Neb., to Edwin and Zenna Osburn Mink. She married Lewis Madsen on July 2, 1951, in Eugene. He died on Oct. 19, 2003. She graduated from Battle Creek High School. She worked as secretary of the Moose Lodge in Eugene, and later worked as an administrative assistant at her husband's insurance agency. Survivors include two daughters, Jean Whittall and Betty Lou Hamilton,  two sons, Gordon and Richard and 19 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. A daughter, Evelyn Leiper, and a son, Gary Stanfield, died previously.
